Father
Late Mr. B. S. Narula
The one change in updating this website is that I have had to prefix the word “Late” to my father’s name. While every child thinks his father to be the best, I firmly believe that my father was someone who lived his life for other people. His passing away made me believe that there is no tomorrow. What you have is this very moment.
My father was born on February 16, 1942 in Naushera, which is now in Pakistan. After the unfortunate partition of Hindustan into India and Pakistan, he moved with his parents to India. He attended college at Delhi and joined Air India where he spent his entire professional life and retired from. Working with an International airline, he got an opportunity to travel across the world. He also managed international assignments as Sales Manager at Doha, Qatar and the Country Manager at Saudi Arabia. He underwent many training programs at work and the management appreciated his work. He always made it a point to share his thoughts which he gathered at the training programs he attended with us that helped in our grooming, which included value for time and being sincere to whatever you do.
Mother
Mrs. Pushpa Narula
My mother is an inspiration for all of us in our family. After the passing away of my father she has been the pillar binding the family. Some of the qualities that inspire me are her determination; follow up, inner strength and an eye for detail.
She was born in Batala, a place situated in Punjab (India) on March 14, 1947 (the year of the partition). She lived with her parents in Assam where her father worked with the Assam Oil Company. She finished her graduation and earned her degree in education. She decided to be a homemaker and give her entire attention to her children. She has been the pivot and support to the entire family.
Wife
Dr. Ekta Narula
Some people fall in love and then get married. Ekta and I went through the rigorous process of a typical arranged marriage and before we realised that we were meant for each other. I think our love is stronger that any bond between two human beings. She is a very mature young lady who knows her priorities and brings strength to the family.
Ekta, born on Jan 22, 1976 in Delhi was trained to be a Dentist by profession. She went for her Dental studies to Bangalore University (V S Dental College) where she topped in each year of her course. She was the gold medallist of her batch. She underwent her internship at Maulana Azad Medical College, L N Hospital, Delhi. She worked with various well established doctors before she started her own clinic. Apart from this, she is also associated with a charitable hospital. She recently opened her new clinic with world class facilities which she manages with complete passion and dedication. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and music.
